Your HSP Resource Library
You could handle things by learning when to push yourself a little, when to take your time, when to back off entirely, when to rest and try later.

Understanding what stimulates you is helpful in creating a sustainable day-to-day rhythm. It's important that HSPs acknowledge any emotional pain that has built up over the years and kept them imprisoned on certain levels and therefore unable to be their true, sensitive selves. |
HSPs in general are known for their "differential susceptibility." That is, with a good childhood, they do better than others in many ways, but with a poor childhood, they are more prone to anxiety, depression, shyness, low self-esteem, and so forth. We are continuously impacted upon by events, emotions, sights, sounds, and ideas every day. We may have thoughts and emotions about this bombardment, but we often overlook its impact on our bodies." |
Time to think, process, and unwind is essential to our physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

HSP PODCASTS Glennon Doyle's podcast, We Can Do Hard Things, is not HSP-centric, however, she does talk about herself being an HSP and has a lot of conversations that HSPs can relate to. I listen to her episodes weekly. We Can Do Hard Things My dear friend, Maria, has a beautiful podcast that HSP moms, and creatives will really appreciate. The Plata Life Podcast: the day to day of a highly sensitive creative mom This was the first podcast I found about HSPs. I love Kelly's voice and her super straight forward thoughts about HSPs and how we view the world. Every episode is worthy of your attention if you are new to learning you are an HSP. The Highly Sensitive Person Podcast I took an HSP Brain Training course from Julie Bjelland in 2019. It was my first HSP course and I learned SO much! Julie offers a TON of free resources and her podcast is just one of those things. (Affiliate link below) The HSP Podcast with Julie Bjelland I have not listened to all of the following podcasts personally, I just did a quick search on apple podcasts using "highly sensitive person" and took note of what showed up. I do not benefit financially from sharing these podcasts, but I love sharing and supporting HSP content!
If there is an HSP podcast you love and is not on my list, let me know! Different strokes for different folks!

HSP MOVIES Elaine Aron and her movie making team, created the following three films to highlight and illustrate the trait of high sensitivity. Sensitive, The Untold Story (2015) A groundbreaking documentary about the temperament trait of high sensitivity found in 20% of the population in both men and women. Based on the findings of bestselling author-psychologist Dr. Elaine Aron (The Highly Sensitive Person) Sensitive and in Love (2020) Rob and Jessica, brother and sister share a traumatic childhood that has left them both wounded and vulnerable in their relationships. Fate forces them to face their demons and embrace what seemed to them an unbearable trait. Sensitive Lovers: A Deeper Look into Their Relationships (2020) In this in-depth poignant documentary Elaine Aron, PhD, widely known for her research on highly sensitive people, and Arthur Aron, PhD, eminent researcher of love and close relationships, provide suggestions for wiser, more skillful and fulfilling relationships. Their work has been cited thousands of time in scientific articles across multiple diciplines. You will find all of the following movies to rent or buy, here. I wanted to keep them all in one easily accessible spot, so I created a page on my website dedicated to housing these incredible conversations so more people can learn about the trait of high sensitivity.
