Clean, tasty, real foods do not come processed in boxes or bags; they come from the earth, the sea, the field, or the farm. - Suzanne Somers
Spring Whole Food Reset & 21-day Challenge
Winter is dense, heavy, cold and invites us to indulge in comfort foods. For me, personally, I struggle during the winter months when it comes to eating healthy and sticking to a whole food diet. For starters, it's COLD outside and the last thing I want to eat is a salad. Soups are one of my favorite comfort foods during that winter, but when winter drags on for months, that can get old. And if you are someone like me who likes to choose ingredients based on what is in season, Iowa is not a part of the country that gives you many options.
So naturally, during the spring, when the temperatures start to warm up and the ground starts to thaw and the snow is gone, I start to crave those SPRING foods. Greens are the first thing to come to mind when I think of spring. Seasonal food is fresher, tastier and more nutritious than food consumed out of season. |

Factors to consider when choosing your start date
- If you are menstruating, pay attention to your cycle. I recommend starting the day after the end of your period.
- Depending on your work schedule, find a day that you have off or less responsibilities
